If you know me, you know I am ALL about recipes that look like I spent way more time in the kitchen than I actually did ๐๐
And this one definitely fits the bill!
I made this Maple Apple Puff Pastry in the Leaf Pan, and just look how pretty it turned out! ๐๐ Itโs such a fun fall dessert, but the best part is that you only need FIVE ingredients.
Yepโฆ FIVE! ๐
๐ MAPLE APPLE PUFF PASTRY
Youโll need:
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- Maple syrup ๐
- 3 apples
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Cinnamon
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Preheat your oven according to the directions on your puff pastry package.
Let the puff pastry thaw enough that itโs easy to work with, then gently fit it into the Leaf Pan.
Thinly slice your apples and arrange them over the puff pastry. I love overlapping them a little because it makes the finished dessert look so prettyโand there is definitely no need for perfection here!
Melt the 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle or brush it over the apples.
Sprinkle generously with cinnamon, then drizzle maple syrup over the top. ๐
Bake according to your puff pastry directions, keeping an eye on it toward the end. Youโre looking for golden, puffed pastry and tender apples.
Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve!
๐ MICHELLEโS TIP:
Try to slice your apples about the same thickness so they cook evenly. A slicer makes this SO much easier, but a good knife works too!
And if you want to make it extra yummy, serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ๐๐จ
THE BEST PART?
This is exactly my kind of recipeโsimple ingredients, easy to put together, but when you bring it to the table everyone thinks you really know what youโre doing in the kitchen. ๐
The Leaf Pan makes it even more fun for fall. I meanโฆ apples + maple + cinnamon + a giant leaf?! ๐๐ How much more fall can we get?
If you try this one, let me know! And tell meโwould you eat it as-is or are you adding the scoop of vanilla ice cream? ๐๐
